The aim of the Surveillance To Reduce Urinary Tract Infections (STRUTI) point prevalence project is to develop a feasible and standardised (online) methodology to support the accurate collection, management and analysis of healthcare associated urinary tract infections (UTI) in Australian acute and aged care facilities. It is envisaged that this project at both a local and national level will contribute to the knowledge about UTI prevalence, will help identify priorities for intervention and enable monitoring of their implementation.  The project is being funded by a 2014 Ian Potter Foundation Grant and an Australian Catholic University Faculty of Health Sciences Research Grant. Participating sites are located in ACT, Tasmania and Victoria.
